2023 VINTAGE FEATURES

They said Pagadebit (“debts payer” in the local dialect) bears this name because of its grape firmness against bad weather. In the FRATTA vineyard during 2023 we had to face many challenges: heavy storms, floods and landslides in May. Consequently, soils were wet and we could not have access to our vines: downy mildew found the right environment to develop and reduced yield dramatically.

We were lucky because in the CELLAIMO vineyards, a few kilometers away, on the other side of the hills, we had a good yield that compensated that loss.

The remaining grapes were savory and healthy, giving a mineral and tasty CAMPI DI FRATTA Pagadebit.

This wine has become a regional icon for Pagadebit in the last decades.
